Resting in Pieces
A HEROIC DEMISE…
In the late 1800′s a train would derail on the river styx bridge in Medina, OH, killing only one person. The engineer, who tried to stop the train from derailing, was crushed to death in the process of the train coming off the tracks.
Soon after, multiple people began seeing a ghost train passing over the bridge. According to sources, the site has also been host to a number of car accidents, accidental deaths by trains, and suicides.
Voices and fog have been known to appear at the area at random. It is also said that some nearby areas also experience paranormal activity.
I have driven by this area before, but I have never heard of the legend until recently. The bridge gives off a very eerie vibe. The towering old and metallic structure watching over the peaceful nature that surrounds it, is a site to behold. I hope to return soon.
If you do decide to explore this bridge please be careful. As I said many people have been killed by trains while exploring.
